Analytics & Measurement (GA4)

GA4 implementations you can actually trust: conversion events, ad-platform imports, and dashboards the business understands — because growth decisions deserve real data.

If it isn't measured, it doesn't exist

Here is the pattern we see in most GA4 properties we audit: pageviews flowing, form_start events firing — and zero conversion events. The site looks alive, but nobody can answer the only question that matters: how many leads did marketing produce this month?

Without that answer you can't judge a campaign, an agency, a redesign, or a blog post. Every growth decision becomes a feeling.

What we do

GA4 audit

A structured review of your property: tag installation, event inventory, conversion definitions, double-counting, referral exclusions, ad-platform links, and data retention settings. You get a findings document in plain language, ranked by impact.

Conversion tracking implementation

The core of the service. We define a short measurement plan (usually 5–8 events that matter — leads, booked calls, downloads, purchases), implement them via gtag or Google Tag Manager, and validate everything in DebugView before calling it done. Forms get spam-filtering so bots don't inflate your lead counts — an ignored detail that quietly poisons most datasets.

Ad-platform alignment

GA4 linked to Google Ads with conversions imported, so bidding optimizes toward real leads and both platforms tell the same story. Meta pixel + Conversions API where Meta runs.

Dashboards and monthly reads

A Looker Studio dashboard around your KPIs — investment, results, cost per lead, trend — plus an optional monthly 30-minute read where we tell you what moved and what to do about it.

Proof we practice this

Our own site runs exactly this setup: spam-filtered lead events, booking-click tracking, GA4 key events, conversions imported to Google Ads. And we maintain measurement across the client ad accounts we manage every week. We sell what we operate.

Who this is for

  • Businesses investing (or about to invest) in ads without reliable conversion data
  • Teams whose GA4 was "set up once" by someone who left
  • Founders who want one page that answers what marketing produced this month

How we price

It depends on scope. Audit + implementation is usually a one-time project; dashboards and monthly reads can continue as a light retainer. Month-to-month, no lock-in.

FAQ

I have GA4 but I don't trust the numbers. Is that normal? Extremely. Most common: no conversion events, double-counted tags, spam counted as leads, platforms disagreeing. All fixable — the audit tells you which ones you have.

Google Tag Manager or direct gtag? Both valid. GTM for marketer-managed tags, direct gtag for lean sites. We work with your existing stack and only recommend changes that earn their complexity.

Which events should my business measure? Fewer than you think — usually 5 to 8. The measurement plan defines them in one page.

Do you connect Google Ads and Meta? Yes — one shared definition of a lead across GA4, Google Ads, and Meta.

Can you build dashboards? Yes, Looker Studio dashboards readable by non-analysts.

What does it cost? It depends on scope. Book a free 15-minute call and we send an exact quote in 24-48 business hours.

Why HopperCat?

Measure before you spend

Ad budgets without conversion tracking are guesses. We wire the events first, so every peso or dollar you invest afterward produces a readable result.

Events that mean something

Not 40 auto-collected events nobody reads — a short measurement plan: leads, booked calls, downloads, purchases. Each one defined, implemented, and marked as a key event.

Ads platforms that agree with your analytics

We import GA4 conversions into Google Ads so bidding algorithms optimize toward real leads — and so your reports stop contradicting each other.

We run this stack ourselves

Our own site runs the same setup we sell: GA4 events with spam-filtered lead tracking, imported conversions, monthly reads. We audit client implementations across the ad accounts we manage every week.

Plain-language reporting

A dashboard and a monthly read that a founder understands in five minutes: what happened, why, and what to do about it. No vanity-metric theater.

Process

  1. 1. Measurement audit (Week 1)

We review your GA4 property, tags, events, and ad-platform links. You get a findings document: what's broken, what's missing, what's double-counted, and what it costs you.

  2. 2. Measurement plan (Week 1)

A one-page definition of the events that matter for your business — usually 5 to 8, not 40 — with naming, parameters, and which ones count as key events.

  3. 3. Implementation (Week 2)

Events wired via gtag or Google Tag Manager, spam-filtered where forms are involved, validated in DebugView and Realtime before we call anything done.

  4. 4. Ad-platform connection (Week 2)

GA4 linked to Google Ads, conversions imported, primary/secondary conversion actions configured — so campaigns can be optimized toward the events you actually care about.

  5. 5. Dashboard + monthly read (ongoing)

A Looker Studio dashboard tied to your KPIs, and if you want it, a monthly 30-minute read: what moved, why, and what to test next.

Frequently asked questions

I have GA4 but I don't trust the numbers. Is that normal?

Extremely. The most common issues we find: no conversion events defined, double-counted pageviews from duplicate tags, spam form submissions counted as leads, and ad platforms reporting different numbers than analytics. All fixable — the audit tells you which ones you have.

Google Tag Manager or direct gtag?

Both are valid. GTM wins when marketers need to add tags without touching code; direct gtag wins for lean sites where fewer moving parts mean fewer breakages. We work with whichever your stack already uses, and recommend a change only when it earns its complexity.

Which events should my business measure?

Fewer than you think. A services business usually needs: lead form submission (spam-filtered), booked call, key page engagement, and download or newsletter events if they exist. E-commerce adds the purchase funnel. The measurement plan defines this in one page.

Do you connect Google Ads and Meta?

Yes. GA4 conversions imported into Google Ads, and the Meta pixel plus Conversions API where Meta campaigns run. The goal is one definition of a lead that every platform shares.

Can you build dashboards?

Yes — Looker Studio dashboards fed by GA4 and ad platforms, designed around your KPIs and readable by non-analysts. One page that answers: what did we invest, what did we get, what should we do.

What does it cost?

It depends on scope. A measurement audit + implementation is usually a one-time project; dashboards and monthly reads can continue as a light retainer. Book a free 15-minute call and we send an exact quote in 24-48 business hours.
