GEO agencies for US small businesses (2026): what three public pages say

Three US-facing GEO agencies, listed alphabetically from their own public sites. HopperCat wrote this page and is a fourth option, so it is not a ranking.

Three US-facing agencies sell GEO to small and midsize businesses on their own public pages. We read those pages on 2026-11-06 and list the agencies alphabetically, which says nothing about quality. HopperCat wrote this page and is a fourth option, so use it as a reading guide. Each fact comes from the agency's own site, and anything a page leaves out is marked as missing. Three is a short list: it is what public pages let us verify.

What should a small business look for in a GEO agency?

GEO, generative engine optimization, is the work of making your site easy for AI answer engines to find, understand and cite. For a small business the useful criteria are the ones you can see on a public page before you book a call:

  • Does the site name the AI engines it works on, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews?
  • Does it describe its steps, or only promise "measurable impact"?
  • Does it publish a price, a starting price or a budget range, or only a custom proposal?
  • Does it explain how it measures results in AI answers, and not only Google rankings?
  • Does it handle crawler access, meaning whether AI bots can reach your pages?

The last one is documented. OpenAI says OAI-SearchBot "is used to surface websites in search results in ChatGPT's search features" (OpenAI crawler docs). Perplexity says PerplexityBot "is designed to surface and link websites in search results on Perplexity" (Perplexity bot docs). If a bot is blocked, content work cannot fix that.

Google's AI features guide is the useful counterweight for any sales pitch. It says you don't need to create new machine readable files, AI text files or markup to appear in AI Overviews and AI Mode, and that there is no special schema.org structured data to add.

Which agencies publish GEO services for US businesses, and what do they say?

They are alphabetical. Each fact comes from the linked page, read on 2026-11-06.

Go Fish Digital

Go Fish Digital lists a Raleigh, NC address in its footer, plus offices in Boston, DC, Phoenix, San Diego and Jacksonville. It names Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT and Bing Copilot. Its page lists four services: semantic content audits, page and passage level optimization for AI Overviews and ChatGPT, traditional SEO for AI discovery (schema, IndexNow, sitemaps, internal links) and digital PR for brand citations. It names its own tools, such as an AI Overview Analyzer. It does not publish prices, offering a custom proposal and a GEO audit instead. It does not state its years in business or a reporting process.

Thrive Internet Marketing Agency

Thrive says it has been "growing businesses since 2005", which is its own claim, and lists 25 city pages without stating a headquarters. It names Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT and Gemini, and also names Perplexity, Claude and Microsoft Copilot. It describes its process as SEO and content analysis, keyword research, technical SEO, review management and continuous monitoring. It publishes no service prices and says only "affordable and flexible pricing options", although its contact form offers monthly budget ranges that start at "$2,500-$5,000 per month" (ad spend not included). It claims monthly reports but does not name the tools or explain how AI citations are counted. Its headline results are self-reported.

WebFX

WebFX is the only one of the three that publishes a price table. Its AI search service "start[s] at $3,000 per month on a six-month commitment", with higher tiers listed up to custom enterprise engagements, and the page calls the table "a planning guide rather than a final quote". It says the service covers "10 AI answer engines" without listing them. The service includes an AI visibility audit, analysis of up to five competitors, prompt monitoring through its own OmniSEO platform and monthly reporting with a dedicated consultant. It says it has "30+ years" of experience. It does not state a headquarters, and it does not explain how its visibility score is calculated.

Where does HopperCat fit?

We are a bilingual, AI-first agency for Mexico and the US, headquartered in Guadalajara. Our GEO page describes technical foundations (structured data, an llms.txt file and clean site code) and a monthly check of whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google mention your business, and it names Google AI Overviews. The site is published in English and Spanish.

We do not publish a GEO price. We quote by scope, either as a one-off project or as a monthly retainer with a fixed monthly fee, month to month, cancel with 30 days' notice. If you need a number before talking to anyone, WebFX is the only agency here that gives one.

What should you ask before you sign?

With any agency, on this list or not:

  • Crawler access: ask them to show you whether OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot can reach your site today.
  • Measurement: ask which questions they test, on which engines, how often, and whether you can see the raw answers.
  • Scope in writing: deliverables, timeline, what the fee includes and what is billed separately.
  • Contract terms: minimum commitment and how to cancel. The only commitment published on these three pages is WebFX's six months.
  • Proof: ask for a client in your size and sector, with a result you can check.

Google's guide on hiring an SEO adds a good rule: be careful with any provider that will not explain what it plans to do.

What can't this page tell you?

Three things. We sell GEO too, so we are not a neutral judge of the agencies above. Every price and claim here is self-published, and we have not spoken to any agency's clients. And we found no independent survey of GEO agencies for US small businesses, which does not mean none exists. Clutch and similar directories were not readable from our research environment, so we left out ratings and review counts rather than guess.

Several "best GEO agency" lists are published by the agencies they rank, sometimes in first place. Here you get criteria and links, and the decision stays with you.

Where can you test your own site?

Our 42-point check runs 42 pass-or-fail tests on how visible and citable your site is to AI engines. It is free, needs no card or call, and returns a written report in English or Spanish, usually within an hour. Hold any proposal up against what it finds.

Frequently asked questions

Who wrote this list, and why should you trust it?

HopperCat wrote it, and HopperCat is a fourth option beside the three agencies listed. Every fact links to the agency's own public page, read on 2026-11-06, so you can check each one yourself.

Is this a ranking of GEO agencies for US small businesses?

No. The list is alphabetical and short. We found no independent survey, and prices and claims on these pages are self-published, so we do not rank.

Which of these agencies publish prices?

One. WebFX says its AI search service starts at $3,000 per month on a six-month commitment and lists higher tiers. Go Fish Digital and Thrive publish no service prices, although Thrive's contact form offers monthly budget ranges starting at $2,500-$5,000.

Does HopperCat publish a GEO price?

No. We quote by scope, either as a one-off project or as a monthly retainer with a fixed monthly fee, month to month, cancel with 30 days' notice.

Do you need llms.txt or special schema to appear in Google's AI features?

Google's AI features guide says you don't need new machine readable files, AI text files or special schema.org markup for AI Overviews and AI Mode: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/ai-features
